IT consulting firm donated 54 laptops to students in need to assist them in learning remotely. In difficult times, Trissential is committed to providing them with technical resources.
Wayzata, MN (Merxwire) - Trissential, a leading IT consulting firm, recently donated 54 laptops to students in the Twin Cities community. They found that face-to-face learning in many school districts is disrupted, children may be at a great disadvantage, and some have fallen behind in learning.
The 2020 survey shows that as many as 25,000 children do not have a computer at home, the number is about 3% of Minnesota K-12 students. Trissential hopes to assist the children in the community with expertise and resources so that everyone can continue to learn.
"We're really excited that our laptops can become much needed resources for our local school kids. Distance learning has created a huge demand for laptops, and we're glad our donation can help fill that gap," said Jon Whitcomb, Sales Director at Trissential.
Trissential is working with Minnesota Computers for Schools (MNCFS), an organization that provides no- or low-cost computers to schools and educational nonprofits. MNCFS is NAID-certified to ensure the security of donated hardware and drives.
"We know our contribution will help students learning remotely to succeed in school," Whitcomb stated, adding that he hopes to see other local IT consulting firms follow Trissential's example.
Think Bold. Act Reliable.
